It's finally starting to feel like spring. As the days get longer and the sun shines, I am longing to get back out there with my camera and lovely families like this one. We had a wonderful morning together in the early morning sun at one of their favourite spots in the city – Evergreen Brick Works.
We're about to be hit with a final winter snowstorm. Well I'm just going to keep thinking happy thoughts of warmth and sunshine.

One of the "cooler" nights we had toward the end of August, when you know fall is just around the corner. Sunshine and a happy family. There's nothing better.
I met this sweet family back in June when they were getting ready to meet their newest family member. They introduced me to the wonderful world of Gerald and Piggie and my girls and I will be forever grateful!
Thinking of booking a family photography session this fall? I’m excited to announce that I am booking family sessions from now through to the end of October. I am also offering mini-sessions again this year with options for both weekdays and weekends. And last but not least, I am continuing to book maternity and newborn sessions throughout the year.

I am offering family sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and select weekends. Typically these sessions take place in the early morning or late afternoon/early evening and generally last 1-2 hours, allowing for breaks and flexibility. The session is personalized to suit your family – together we decide on the location that works best for you, but often we start at your home and then move on to a nearby park (or vice versa). Newborn sessions typically take place within the first two weeks after baby arrives and are most often scheduled for a weekday morning or afternoon.
Back by popular demand! I am offering mini-sessions again this year with both weekday and weekend options. These are 20-minute outdoor sessions and include 15-20 high resolution digital images (available for direct download). Mini-sessions take place in the west end of Toronto and sessions are booked on a first-come, first-served basis. $300

Mini-Session fine print and FAQ's:
How do I book a session? Email me with your preferred time/date (and a second choice). I will confirm via email your confirmed spot. The full fee is due upon booking to reserve your spot. Last year these sessions booked up quickly resulting in a wait list so don't delay!
Where do the sessions take place? Mini-sessions will be located in the west end of the city in a park-like setting. Location and details are confirmed two weeks prior to the date.
I'm worried my kids might not behave... My best advice for parents is to relax and have fun and to not worry about smiling for the camera. The best thing you can do is engage your children with silly jokes, games, tickling, cuddling, songs, etc. If they are being little buggers, just laugh it off. Please don't offer food or drink during the session (save these as treats for after we are finished!).
I'm worried about only having 20 minutes for the session. What if my kids don't cooperate during that time? Depending on the number of kids you have and your life-stage, it might be a better fit for you to do a full session, which offers flexibility for timing, location and breaks. If you're not sure what's best for your family, send me a note and we can figure it out together.
What if it rains? In the event of inclement weather, your session will be held at the same time on the specified rain date.
What is included in the fee? The fee covers your 20-minute outdoor session. Within 3-4 weeks, you will receive a link to an online, password-protected gallery where your images will be available for direct download until December 31, 2016.
Can I order prints? You will have the option to order prints directly from your online gallery. These can be shipped directly to your home.
Can my mom (dad, aunt, sister, etc.) order prints? Yep, you can share your gallery and password with anyone you choose and they can order prints or download digital files.
What happens if we need to cancel? Email me and we will figure out an alternate plan for your session. While I do not offer refunds, I am more than happy to reschedule if necessary.

It seems fitting that I post these on the hottest day of July so far seeing as we took these on the hottest day of June. Another family with three girls. It's a trend these days.
As I came up the front steps, there was a 'welcome sister' sign hanging on the porch – and they had my heart before I even walked in the door.
I'm easing my way back into things starting a with a few sessions this month. This was a pretty nice way to kick things off. I love Stef and her family and it is always such an honour to photograph them. It was a dull day and the rain held off just long enough for this. We laughed with relief afterwards and Ryan commented on how he actually sort of likes gloomy days. Well now I do too.
