I met this sweet family back in June when they were getting ready to meet their newest family member. They introduced me to the wonderful world of Gerald and Piggie and my girls and I will be forever grateful!

A few weeks ago I tagged along with this family to document their after-school routine. Theirs is not like many others! Living in the heart of downtown, close to the lake, the kiddos go to preschool on Toronto Island and travel back and forth with their teachers on the ferry! We met them as they exited the boat, enjoyed a snack and I then followed them as they made their way home. An urban playground to say the least!
One of the many things that I love about this city is that you can be in the heart of the old Distillery District, surrounded by buildings, restaurants and stores – and then just minutes later on the beach with toes in the water and a view of the city skyline.
The trip to the beach during this session was completely impromptu. It was actually a pretty chilly morning when we started, but heading to the water turned out to be a great idea. The sun warmed us up and the girls taught me about sea glass.
ahhh coffee. What would we do without it? After a few terrible nights with Brooke in the last little while (ear infections coupled with 2-year molars coming in), I actually felt like I had a newborn again. But without the adrenalin. So when I arrived to meet little baby A and his parents last week, and we got to chatting about their lack of sleep – I really felt their pain. And when coffee was offered, I gladly accepted :)
These two are smitten with their new little guy and I had such a wonderful time with them.
This little guy stole my heart.
There's nothing I enjoy more than meeting a new family – especially when they're willing to sacrifice bedtime for a sunset.
I spent a sunny afternoon with these three and their parents back in late August. It's hard to believe how quickly the last few weeks have gone by and how the weather and days are changing. Looking at these definitely makes me long for summer again. We started at one of my favourite parks and then headed for a walk through the Junction, finishing up with popsicles. It was the perfect end-of-summer session.
One of my biggest goals for this year is to stay on top of my blogging! I love sharing my work and this blog is a great way to give my awesome clients a sneak peek of their session. Earlier last week I spent a sunny morning with this family of four. Give me a cute baby and a pug to photograph and I'm over-the-moon. We started at home and then went for a walk to the park – the perfect start to my week!
